The Rolls Royce Foundation is an independent, non-profit, charitable organization dedicated to the preservation and promotion of the heritage of Rolls Royce and Bentley Motorcars.  Our museum includes cars from across the line of Rolls Royce and Bentley models, and a selection of related materials in changing displays.  An extensive library holds books, technical manuals, handbooks, sales literature and periodicals,as well as historic documents that document individual chassis.  The library is available to researchers and browsers, but the materials do not circulate.  The Foundation is open to the public, free of charge, Monday - Friday from 10:00 AM until 4:00 PM.

In 1978, the Foundation was officially sanctioned by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and a dedicated group of original members began to build the library holdings and aquire noteworthy  automobiles for future display.  For many years, the library was housed with the Rolls Royce Owners' Club, which has its headquarters in the adjacent building.  Over time, the holdings of the Foundation outgrew the available space and a new facility was constructed to house the museum and library and provide extra garage space for vehicle storage and maintenance.

The Foundation opened its new doors in May 2004, concurrent with the 100 year celebration of the founding of the Rolls-Royce partnership.  It consists of 5,000 square feet of display area and a large "behind-the-scene" storage area for additional automobiles.  The automobiles in the collection come to the RRF through individual donations.  The Foundation continues to acquire motorcars which uniquely represent particular Rolls Royce and Bentley models.  Motorcars on display represent a three-dimensional timeline of the history of the company, from the American built 1929 Springfield Phantom I to the 1985 Silver Spirit.  Car enthusiasts who prefer older cars, as well as those who enjoy modern versions, find something appealing in the museum, which offers a unique sampling of the evolution of the design of a singular automobile manufacturer.
