Hybrid cars are a recent phenomena in the automobile industry.  Only few car manufacturers like Honda, Toyota, and General Motors had taken this matter very seriously.  Japan’s Honda is the top hybrid automobile maker and marketer as of now.  Two decades ago, Honda was nowhere in car building sector.  Now indeed, it is a brand name for futuristic hybrid cars among the Japanese cars.
The new generation is more passionate about Hybrid cars because they are environment friendly.  According to Honda reports, the hybrid car is zero-emission.  Reduction in fuel consumption contributes a lot to a green environment.  Even Hybrid cars have more fuel efficiency than any other ordinary brand new car.  A hybrid car whether new or used has no more mechanical problems like regular cars.  During the movement of the wheels, the hybrid car creates its own energy during a process of regenerative braking.  All these features in Honda Hybrid cars have made Honda the most striking and craved cars of the new generation.
Honda has newly introduced its 2009 Civic Hybrids.  This Honda hybrid car is a combination of technical qualifications of the common Honda Civic motor cars and reduced fuel consumption as of hybrid cars. As well as it takes care of your pocket also.

The Honda Civic Si Concept coupe made its world debuts at the 2011 North American International Auto Show, ninth-generation 2011 model set to go on sale this spring. Honda Civic Concept sedan model also there.

The redesigned Civic builds on this legacy and promises to be the best Civic yet. “The Civic is known for providing a balance of ‘just-right’ packaging, fun-to-drive character and outstanding fuel economy, at a price that even first-time buyers can afford,” said John Mendel.
With the widest array of engine choices available in its class, the 2011 Civic lineup intends to meet the needs of an increasing group of compact-vehicle buyers with a renewed vision of a “Civic for all people.” The diverse vehicle range includes a sedan and a coupe with conventional gasoline models, two sporty “Si” performance versions, along with one hybrid and a natural gas alternative-fuel variant.
The exterior styling of both Honda Civic concept models showcases the sedan’s and coupe’s clean-yet-powerful lines with steeply raked windshields, wide stances and pronounced character lines along the profile. The lower character line on both models broadens toward the rear fenders to enhance the dynamic feeling of forward energy. The front fender surface treatments form a complex, three-dimensional look to further enhance the image of sophistication and structural depth against the deeply set headlights.
The look of the Honda Civic Si Concept coupe conveys an aggressive demeanor with a more angular front fascia, mesh grille and a tapered rear roofline that flows smoothly into the trunk. The Honda Civic Si Concept coupe is exclusively equipped with a rear air diffuser, a center-mounted exhaust outlet and a rear deck lid spoiler with dual vents. Each concept model has 19-inch machined alloy wheels.
The Civic’s family of engines with “intelligent” Variable Valve Timing and Lift Electronic Control (i-VTEC®) technology become even more fuel efficient for 2012. Building on its emphasis on fuel-economy, most upcoming Civic models receive Honda Eco Assist™ technology. The 2011 Civic is the first U.S. Honda model to employ Eco Assist technology in a gasoline-only powered vehicle.
Safety, the 2012 Civic continues to emphasize safety and is anticipated to score well in both the federal government’s New Car Assessment Program (NCAP) and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) vehicle evaluations. All 2011 Civics are equipped with Vehicle Stability Assist™ (VSA®) as standard equipment. The Civic also continues to provide Honda’s exclusive and innovative Advanced Compatibility Engineering™ (ACE™) body structure for frontal collision energy management.

The 2010 Honda Civic styling is unchanged, though if you pop the hood on an Si model you’ll see the color of its plastic engine shroud is now black instead of silver. This eighth-generation Civic was introduced for model-year 2006, bringing to the small-car field an artsy sense of design inside and out. No rival has quite matched it for sophisticated good taste, and Honda kept the look contemporary with some “mid-cycle” updates for model-year 2009. These are evident on the 2010 Honda Civic and include slightly sharper definition to the grille and lower front bumper. Headlights and taillights transitioned to trendy clear turn signal lenses with amber bulbs, and several models got new alloy wheel designs. Although it doesn’t have the longest body in the class, no compact competitor has a longer wheelbase than the Honda Civic four-door sedan. This 106.3-inch span between front and rear axles defines the space available for the passenger compartment. In wheelbase and overall body length, Civic’s two-door coupe is about two inches shorter than the sedan. That’s in keeping with a jauntier demeanor that sacrifices rear-seat room to swoopy styling; the difference is driven home by a roofline a significant three inches lower than the sedan’s.All Civics have front-wheel drive and are well-served by smooth-running four-cylinder engines. The powertrain lineup segues into 2010 intact. A 140-horsepower 1.8-liter does duty in the three main Civic models: base DX, volume LX, and upscale EX. These cars come with manual or automatic transmission, both of which have five speeds. The sporty Si coupe and sedan have a 197-horsepower 2.0-liter linked exclusively to a six-speed manual. The Honda Civic Hybrid comes as a sedan only and combines a 1.3-liter gas engine with an electric motor for a total of 110 horsepower. The electric motor can propel the Civic Hybrid for very short distances on battery power alone but mostly acts as an assist to the engine. This helps save fuel and lower emissions by allowing use of a smaller gas engine and by enabling the engine to shut off at stops and then restart automatically as the driver depresses the accelerator.
