The Lamborghini Insecta concept was designed by Iulian Bumbu, who in 2008 completed the Transportation Design Master Course with Alfa Romeo at the Scuola Politecnica di Design (SPD) in Milan. The length of the Insecta concept car is 4300mm (169 inches), similar to that of the Lamborghini Gallardo, however the Insecta is lower and wider than the Gallardo, plus it features a slightly longer wheelbase.

The Lamborghini concept supercar is powered by a 5 litre V10 engine and it uses the same drivetrain as the Gallardo. This supercar comes with a glass engine cover that blends into the glass roof of the vehicle and, as far as the bodywork is concerned, it’s all carbon fibre to reduce weight.

Inside the Lamborghini concept you’ll find a deep bucket seats, a high center console and an U-shaped sports steering wheel.

Electric cars are usually vehicles with moderated amounts of power and looks that would make you turn to the usual polluting automobiles. However, the future brings us hot supercar designs, based on electric power, as is this Venturi Volage roadster. With an output of 295 horsepower and 171 pound-feet of torque you can surely say that “this baby’s got a temper”.

Venturi Volage Electric Supercar Is a 2012 Concept

Designed by Michelin, the Venturi Volage concept uses Active Wheel Technology in order to give each wheel extra control, so the vehicle would run better and safer. The exterior look of this car is impressive, but sadly this is a 2012 concept we’re talking about, so we’ll have to do some serious waiting.

Peugeot RD 3 Concept Car, One Passenger, Three Wheels

So many three wheel concept cars lately… Must be a new trend, like the touchscreen is for mobile phones. Well, at least this looks fairly good and it’s been designed by Carlos Arturo Torres Tovar.

Bear in mind that the Peugeot RD 3 can become more compact during crowded traffic and low speeds, making it the ideal ride for a long distance travel.

The RD 3 displays information regarding the road you’re on, plus any other data you might require via vocal command. The RD isn’t the speedster you’re dreaming of, nor is it tomorrow’s supercar, but rather an useful urban vehicle, perfect for suburbs and sneaking in front of other automobiles.
